How to install it
Every device does this slightly differently. Find yours below — it takes about ten seconds, and there is no file to save and no security warning to click past on any of them.
iPhone & iPad
- 1Open this page in Safari. (Chrome on iOS can't install apps — Apple only allows Safari to.)
- 2Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow coming out of it, in the toolbar.
- 3Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- 4Tap Add, top right. The icon appears on your home screen.
Apple doesn't let any website install an app on its own, so you do the last step yourself. What you end up with is identical: an icon, a full screen, and no address bar.
Android
- 1Open this page in Chrome.
- 2Tap Download above — or, if you don't see it, the ⋮ menu, then Install app.
- 3Confirm when Chrome asks.
Chrome builds a real Android app package and installs it. It lands in your app drawer and in Settings › Apps, exactly like something from the Play Store, and uninstalls the same way.
Mac, Windows & Linux
- 1Open this page in Chrome or Edge. (Safari on Mac can't install web apps — use Chrome or Edge, or add it to your Dock from Safari's File menu.)
- 2Click Download above, or the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar.
- 3Confirm, and it opens in its own window.
On a Mac it appears in your Applications folder and Launchpad; on Windows, in the Start menu and taskbar. Remove it the same way as any other app.
