1

About these terms

In short: By using BookInnTime you agree to these terms. They cover customers and businesses, with extra sections for each.

These terms are an agreement between you and BookInnTime. BookInnTime is an Australian business. They apply whenever you use the website at bookinntime.com or the BookInnTime app — whether you’re a customer finding and booking a service, or a business listing services and taking bookings.

Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Refunds & cancellations and Cookie Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2

What BookInnTime does

In short: We connect customers with businesses and run the booking. The service itself is provided by the business, not by us.

BookInnTime is a booking platform. Businesses publish what they offer, their prices and when they’re available; customers book a time. We provide the tools that make that work: booking pages, calendars, payments through Stripe, messages, reminders and reviews.

The service you book is provided by the business, and the booking is an arrangement between you and that business. BookInnTime is not a party to it, does not employ or supervise businesses, and does not provide the services they offer. Businesses are responsible for their own services, pricing, qualifications, licences and insurance.

3

Accounts

In short: You don't need an account to book. If you make one, keep it secure and keep your details accurate.

  • You must be at least 16 to create an account, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
  • Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You’re responsible for activity on your account, and should tell us straight away at support@bookinntime.com if you think someone else has access.
  • One person or business per account. Don’t create accounts for others without their permission.
4

Booking as a customer

In short: Turn up on time, pay what you agreed, and cancel in time if you can't make it. Each business sets its own cancellation rules.

  • When you book, you agree to the business’s price, its cancellation window and any late-cancellation fee, all of which are shown before you confirm.
  • Depending on the business, you may pay in full online, pay a deposit online, or pay in person. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • Some businesses charge a small percentage more for paying online than in person, to cover card fees. Any difference is shown before you pay.
  • If you can’t make it, cancel as early as possible from your confirmation email or your account. How refunds work is set out in Refunds & cancellations.
  • Treat businesses and their staff with respect. Businesses may decline to serve anyone who is abusive or unsafe.
5

Listing as a business

In short: Be honest about who you are and what you offer, honour your bookings, and follow the law in your trade.

  • Provide accurate information about your business, services, prices, location and availability, and keep it up to date.
  • Honour confirmed bookings, or cancel them promptly with notice to the customer. If you cancel a booking a customer has paid for online, they are refunded in full.
  • Hold every licence, registration, qualification and insurance your services require, and comply with all laws that apply to your business, including the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Set clear cancellation terms. You’re responsible for the services you provide and for dealing fairly with customer complaints.
  • Use customers’ personal information only to provide the booked service and communicate about it, and protect it as the law requires.
  • Only upload photos and content you own or have permission to use.
6

Payments and payouts

In short: Customer payments go through Stripe straight to the business. BookInnTime doesn't take a cut of your bookings.

Businesses that take payments online connect their own Stripe account. Customer payments, deposits and refunds are processed by Stripe and paid out to the business’s bank account under Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement, which businesses accept when they connect.

  • BookInnTime does not charge a commission on bookings. Stripe’s standard processing fees apply to online payments.
  • Businesses choose whether to take full payment, a deposit, or payment in person, and can add a small online surcharge to cover card fees.
  • Businesses are responsible for any GST or other tax on their own services.
  • Chargebacks and disputes on a business’s payments are handled through that business’s Stripe account.
7

BookInnTime Pro

In short: Pro is an optional paid plan for businesses. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.

  • Pro is an optional subscription that adds extra features. The price and what’s included are shown before you subscribe.
  • It renews automatically each billing period and is charged to the card you give Stripe, until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from the Pro page in your dashboard. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and it won’t renew after that.
  • We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law requires us to. See Refunds & cancellations.
  • If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
8

Reviews and messages

In short: Reviews must be genuine and fair. Messages are for arranging bookings, not spam or abuse.

  • Only review a business you’ve actually booked. Be honest and fair, and don’t post anything false, abusive, discriminatory or private.
  • Businesses must not offer incentives for positive reviews, or post reviews of their own business or a competitor’s.
  • We may remove reviews or messages that break these rules.
9

Things you must not do

In short: No illegal services, no impersonation, no harassment or fraud, and no attempts to break or misuse the platform.

  • List or book anything illegal, dangerous or misleading.
  • Impersonate a person or business, or misrepresent who you are.
  • Harass, threaten, defraud or discriminate against anyone.
  • Send spam, or use contact details from the platform for unrelated marketing.
  • Copy, scrape or resell the platform or its content without our permission.
  • Try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.
10

Your content and ours

In short: What you upload stays yours; you let us display it so your page works. The BookInnTime name, design and software are ours.

Business details, photos, descriptions, reviews and messages you add remain yours. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and adapt them (for example, resizing photos) for as long as they’re on the platform, so the service works. You’re responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

The BookInnTime name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may not use them without our written permission, except to link to your own booking page.

11

Suspending or closing accounts

In short: You can close your account any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will usually explain why.

You can stop using BookInnTime at any time. Businesses can delete their account from their dashboard; customers can ask us at support@bookinntime.com.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if it breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it’s appropriate and safe to, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it. Bookings already made remain between the customer and the business.

12

Your rights under consumer law

In short: Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or condition, that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

13

Limits of our responsibility

In short: We work hard to keep BookInnTime running well, but we're not responsible for the services businesses provide.

We work to keep BookInnTime available, accurate and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors, and features may change as the service develops.

To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for the services businesses provide, for anything a customer or business does or fails to do, or for any indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or lost opportunities). Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for most customers, that is nothing, because booking is free).

Businesses agree to cover us for any claim, loss or cost that arises from their services, their content or their breach of these terms or of the law.

14

Disputes

In short: Talk to the business first. If that doesn't work, contact us and we'll try to help.

If something goes wrong with a service, please raise it with the business first — most issues are quickest to sort out directly. If you can’t resolve it, email us at support@bookinntime.com with the booking details and we’ll try to help.

If you have a complaint about BookInnTime itself, contact us first and give us a chance to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that state.

15

Changes to these terms

In short: If we make important changes, we'll tell you before they apply.

We may update these terms as the service grows. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For important changes, we’ll give account holders notice by email or in the app before they apply. If you keep using BookInnTime after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can close your account.
